Hello, I'm Gail Nobles, and I want to talk to you today about a podcast that was discontinued at Swellcast called the Knack. Swellcast.com has shut down. It was a unique place for the podcast because I received audio comments about my stories there that I am not able to share. However, I am able to share the podcast itself. One of my episodes from the podcast is titled Jamal Wallard. I hope you enjoy it. 

 Welcome to the Knack. I'm Gail Nobles. Today's topic Jamal Gravy Walllard. Jamal Gravy Willard was born on July 8, 1975, in Brooklyn, New York. He is an actor and best known for his portrayal of the legendary rapper the Notorious Big in the biographical film Notorious. Woolard’s portrayal has been widely recognized for its authenticity and depth. Woolard’s breakout role came with Notorious, where he vividly embodied the life and persona of Biggie Small's. 

Many viewers noted his striking resemblance to the late rapper, both in physical appearance and mannerisms. This role not only showcased Willard's acting skills, but also served as a significant tribute to the legacy of the Notorious Big. 

Following his successful portrayal and Notorious, Willard returned to the world of hip hop cinema by reprising his role as Biggie Small's in the twenty seventeen biopic All Eyes on Me, which chronicles the life of rapper Tupac Shakur. In this film, his character plays a supportive role that adds depth to the narrative of Tupac's life and career. Despite his ties to the street culture, Woolard  has made a conscious decision to navigate his life away from the pitfalls often associated with that environment. 

In an interview, he has expressed the importance of making positive choices, emphasizing personal growth over negative influences. While Jamal Gravy Woolard and The Notorious Big are different in individuals, Woolard’s ability to connect with Biggie's narrative demonstrates his understanding of the struggles and triumphs face within the hip hop community. In addition to his acting career, Jamal Woolard is also a talented rapper who performs under the stage name gravy.
