Now let’s talk about Angela Bassett when she stepped into those heels it was like magic. I mean, you gotta give her props. She really transformed from the moment she hit that screen. I couldn’t see anything but the living legend herself her looks spot on that confident scribe nailed it and don’t get me started on that energy Angela didn’t just play Tina. She became Tina. 

Bassett brought that fierce spirit that undeniable script and the raw emotion that define Tina‘s life those scenes where she performed, you couldn’t look away. She really acted out the struggle and the triumph of Tina Turner.

You must understand, though the touch of your hand makes my pulse react. What’s love got to do with it got to do with it who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?

And can we just shout out Lawrence Fishburn as Ike Turner? That dude was chilling and all the right ways, pain and power and twined, but let’s keep our focus on Angela those pivotal moments where she had to tap in to Tina‘s heartbreak.
